The University of Minnesota, Department of Pediatrics seeks a MD/DO Physician, board certified or eligible in Pediatrics and Medical Genetics and Genomics, at the rank of Associate or Full Professor to join the Department of Pediatrics: Division of Pediatric Genetics & Metabolism. This opportunity will include the role of Division Director and potential leadership of the Rare Disease Center of Excellence if interests, experience, and training align.
Position Highlights:
Responsibilities include up to 60% clinical care for children and adults, with additional responsibilities (30%) in research and teaching.
Serve as Director of the Rare Disease Center of Excellence, overseeing clinical operations and research.
Establish a research program in molecular/cellular basis of rare diseases, diagnostics, therapeutics, or genomic technologies.
Build partnerships across pediatric and adult medicine for lifelong care.
Join a team of geneticists, a Pediatric APP, and genetic counselors.
Collaborate with laboratories and maternal-fetal medicine programs.
Provide care for a diverse patient population across Minnesota and the region.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Pediatric residency and Genetic fellowship, or Internal Medicine with appropriate experience.
Board-certified or eligible in Medical Genetics and Genomics by ABMGG, or in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics.
Licensed or eligible for medical license and DEA in Minnesota.
Ability to obtain work authorization in the U.S.
Proven leadership and research support skills.
Strong interpersonal skills for collaborative work.
Preferred Qualifications:
Medical leadership experience.
Leadership in rare disease programs.

Pay and Benefits:
Pay Range: $174,000+, depending on experience.
75%-100% appointment, faculty and P&A staff.
