Senior Speech Pathologist – Speech Pathology IP Orange – PT Day Shift (UC Irvine)
UC Irvine Health is the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine. It is the only academic health system based in Orange County and serves a region of nearly four million people in Orange County, western Riverside County and southeast Los Angeles County.
Position Summary The Speech Pathologist provides therapeutic management of speech, language, swallowing and hearing disorders, including evaluation, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, and discharge planning.
Responsibilities
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with speech, language, swallowing, and hearing disorders.
Deliver evidence‑based therapeutic interventions to a diverse group of patients.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate discharge planning.
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory and institutional policies.
Adhere to patient safety and quality standards in all therapeutic activities.
Qualifications
Speech Pathology License or proof of eligibility from the California Board of Speech Pathology.
Minimum of five years of clinical experience as a licensed speech‑language pathologist.
Customer service skills appropriate to the job and the ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Demonstrated experience providing speech therapy to a diverse group of patients.
Current BLS certification.
If assigned to work with infants and children aged 0 to 21, CCS paneling/approval will be required within one year of hire if qualified for CCS paneling requirement.
