In this position, you will assemble, clean and maintain anesthesiology equipment and supplies. This role will operate in a four-operating-room environment with video-conference networking for learning and treatment. Two suites include Siemens’ Artis Zeego robotic c-arm scanners. You will help maintain our commitment to safe, effective and compassionate care. Responsibilities
Disassemble and reassemble equipment for replacement parts during repair and for daily preventative maintenance audits. Advise supervisor when major repairs are required. Calibrate telethermometers, check and clean ventilators. Maintain cleanliness of equipment between cases, with knowledge of sterility concepts and cleaning procedures and understanding of equipment functions. C lean debris, replace soda lime granules, clear inhalation and exhalation parts, and check blood pressure cuffs for leaks; replace batteries. Ensure machines contain a complete breathing circuit. Assemble equipment for each case in the operating room area and operate equipment per established procedures. Restock equipment and supplies for all anesthetizing areas (Operating Rooms, Cystol/ESWL, Labor & Delivery, Recovery Room, and various procedure rooms). Interpret the operating room schedule to predict equipment needs and notify supervisor if demand exceeds supply. Conduct weekly inventory of department supplies and those ordered from outside vendors, general stores, central sterile, and the pharmacy. Maintain a complete stock of drugs and medical supplies; sterilize anesthesia supplies (masks, tubes, connectors). Perform other related duties as assigned. This position will work 7.5 to 9.5 hours daily between the hours of 6:00am - 9:00pm; weekday coverage is needed. Qualifications
Preferred Criteria ASATT certification One year OR experience One year experience as an Anesthesia Technician Required Criteria High School Diploma or GED Mechanical training or experience with equipment including knowledge on the operation of sterilizers and sterility techniques Additional Information
