Overview
Graduate Nurse/ Staff Nurse - Adult Med Surg at United Health Services (UHS) Chenango Memorial Hospital. The RN or GN protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and through advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The RN or GN is responsible and accountable for compliance to all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. The RN or GN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. We believe people must always be at the core of healthcare. Responsibilities
Assist with the delivery of patient-centered care in the adult medical-surgical unit. Support the health, safety, and well-being of patients and families while adhering to professional standards and organizational policies. Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development and participate in residency programs as applicable.
Qualifications
Education/Experience Minimum Required: A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing; previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting. License/Certification Minimum Required: Current NYS RN License or Valid NYS Limited Permit to practice as a GN. Preferred: Professional certification in a related nursing specialty; relevant skills certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit.
Compensation & Benefits
The base pay range for full-time position is $80,640.00 to $114,400.00 per year. This position is eligible for various competitive benefits, PTO accrual, and retirement plans with employer match. Experienced RNs may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $15,000. Graduate nurses may participate in a comprehensive nurse residency program. You are eligible for benefits if hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours.
