Evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient population using standardized assessments and clinical observation. Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practices. Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed documentation in the electronic medical record. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies, home-based exercises, and safe swallowing practices; provide supportive counseling as required. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while addressing patients’ comfort needs during therapy sessions. Engage in quality assurance and professional development to stay current with best practices in speech-language therapy. Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice. Qualifications
Required:
Valid Speech Language Pathologist license per state regulations. Required:
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred:
Master’s Degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology. Preferred:
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). Experience in Speech-Language Pathology; new grads welcome. Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position. Benefits
