Location: Tacoma, WA 98405 Facility: Level II Trauma Center, Level IV NICU Unit: Emergency Department (ED) Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract Contract Duration: 17 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 – End: 2/14/2026) Shifts: 12 Hour Rotating evening/night shifts (Examples: 1500-0300, 1900-0700) Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend Parking: Free parking available Estimated Pay
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,880 - $2,020 per week RN Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Washington state preferred) Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI/MOAB certifications required Traveler Telemetry Competency Exam (must be completed and passed prior to start) Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV skills, procedural sedation, blood administration, and cardiac medication administration Experience with diverse patient populations: pediatric, geriatric, trauma, mental health, respiratory, cardiac First-time travel nurses are not eligible for this assignment Responsibilities
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with varying acuity, including trauma, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, DKA, mental health, and respiratory emergencies Manage patient ratios of 1:4 (flex to 1:5 for low acuity) Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team: ER techs, charge nurses, float/resource nurses, respiratory therapists, educators, security, house supervisors, pharmacy staff Utilize Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and central/bedside telemetry monitoring systems Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical education to maintain nursing competency Maintain professional appearance (any scrub color; modest piercings and non-offensive tattoos permitted) Fulfill holiday coverage expectations (3 of 5 major holidays) Benefits
