Full-time schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week, resulting in four days off most weeks, with rotating weekends and no after-hours call. Clinic hours are Monday-Saturday 8 am to 8 pm and Sunday 9 am to 6 pm. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating common urgent conditions across all ages, performing procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and foreign-body removal, as well as ordering and interpreting X-rays and point-of-care labs. Completing same-day documentation and collaborating with the clinical team are essential. Requirements include an active North Carolina FNP license or eligibility within 60 days, AANP or ANCC certification, BLS (ACLS preferred), and at least one year of urgent care, emergency, or high-acuity family medicine experience. New grads may need to complete a bootcamp prior to start. Procedural confidence and a patient-first mindset are essential. Compensation ranges from $60-$70 per hour based on experience, with productivity incentives.
