Position Title:
Electrical Design Engineer Location:
Birmingham, AL Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr Summary: Looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to help shape the future of our manufacturing operations. In this role, you'll support design and project engineering across the facility—from developing and communicating technical designs to selecting equipment, coordinating projects, and providing hands-on support during installation and startup. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant solutions, while also contributing to the development of custom equipment, maintaining drawing standards, and supporting feasibility studies. Support design and project engineering across the facility, including developing and communicating technical designs. Select equipment, coordinate projects, and provide hands-on support during installation and startup. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant solutions. Contribute to the development of custom equipment and maintain drawing standards. Support feasibility studies and continuously improve processes and standards. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an ABET EAC accredited program at a four-year college or university with major coursework in Electrical Engineering. Proof of degree required (transcript or diploma). Working knowledge of CAD/drafting tools and software. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ability to learn technical software for VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, and motion controllers. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization. Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and a willingness to work extra hours as needed. Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license. Ability to learn technical and manufacturing processes, environmental procedures, and use of measuring instruments. Must be physically able to perform essential job duties with or without accommodations. About Seneca Resources
