Job Description Summary The Process Engineer Manager is responsible for delivering technical expertise and innovation across all phases of the manufacturing process. This role focuses on optimizing production for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best electronic practices. The position will lead a team of 6–8 employees, report to the Director of Engineering, and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including Quality, Production and others to drive continuous improvement, enhance product performance, and support strategic manufacturing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop manufacturing solutions that meet quality, cost, and customer requirements.

Utilize appropriate tools and equipment for analysis and verification.

Understand full manufacturing processes and product specifications.

Produce comprehensive project documentation.

Define manufacturing processes including layout and SMT concepts.

Introduce and troubleshoot new products (NPI).

Review labor quotes and implement process improvements.

Analyze Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for labor impact.

Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.

Determine facility requirements for new processes or equipment.

Identify root causes of manufacturing defects.

Participate in process validation and customer support teams.

Manage process development for high-reliability electronics.

Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO standards, and ITAR regulations.

Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve process issues.

Maintain process documentation including PFMEAs and control plans.

Support internal and external audits.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship.

Interface with program managers and customers.

Utilize ERP/MRP systems and SPC tools.

Evaluate and deploy best‑in‑class capital equipment.

Key Qualifications

Proficient in computer skills, decision making, and problem solving.

Strong verbal and written communication.

Analytical and statistical analysis skills including SPC software.

Experience with lab tools and measurement equipment.

Ability to work in cross‑disciplinary teams.

Understanding of structured design and manufacturing controls.

Ability to develop good working relationships with team members and customers.

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.

10-15 years of relevant experience in electronics manufacturing environment.

Strong leadership and project management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP software.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.

Familiarity with ISO and AS9100 standards.

Ability to travel as required.
