We are seeking a skilled Electrical Field Service Technician/Engineer to join our Regional Reliability Team, supporting electrical system reliability across multiple facilities. This hands-on role will be based out of our East Chicago, IN site and will focus on preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of industrial electrical equipment. The ideal candidate will work independently in the field, making technical decisions and providing expert recommendations to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations. Key Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical distribution systems and equipment, including: Substations, breakers, switchgear, MCCs, protective relay systems, battery and UPS systems, and transformers (up to 138kV) Induction and synchronous motors up to 40,000 HP and 15,000 volts Plan, schedule, coordinate, lead, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance following established procedures Lead and perform predictive maintenance activities, including IR Thermography, Transformer Oil Analysis, Partial Discharge Analysis, and Power Quality Analysis Support strategic reliability goals across the region through field service and technical expertise Perform work both in office and field environments, including accessibility to elevated or outdoor equipment in varying weather conditions Provide accessibility during off-hours and travel up to 20% domestically for site support Qualifications

Required: Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology OR minimum 5 years’ experience maintaining medium voltage (5kV–15kV) electrical systems in an industrial environment Hands-on background as a field service engineer, technician, electrician, power distribution technician, or project manager in electrical industrial maintenance Solid knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices for industrial electrical systems Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently Proficiency with computers and standard software packages (MS Office, email, etc.) Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology OR 2+ years as a Journeyman Electrician in an industrial environment Proven experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing medium voltage (5kV–15kV) electrical systems and equipment Familiarity with industrial standards, regulatory codes, and control/instrumentation systems Experience using CMMS systems (e.g., Infor EAM) We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
