The ultimate goal of a Proconex systems engineer is to improve the efficiency of our clients, which are small, mid-size, and large life sciences (pharma), chemical, energy, and other companies. Learn specification, design, and configuration of programmable logic controllers (PLC), Emerson DeltaV distributed control systems (DCS), manufacturing execution systems (MES), and data historians (OSI PI). As part of an internal project team or supporting a client at their site, interact with cross-functional groups to propose and assess modifications to equipment and processes. Prepare and update engineering documentation, and operating/maintenance procedures. Commissioning and validation test plans for multiple process and utility systems. Qualifications

Recent college degree in engineering with an interest in control systems design and implementation. Preferably held an internship or co-op that provided a broad technical base of experience in the SDLC of automated systems (process controls, MES, and/or data management). Fundamental knowledge of process and understanding of engineering documents, process control (PLC/DCS/SCADA), networks, control systems and application engineering. Early exposure to structured methodologies for manufacturing systems and programming skills. Experience with Emerson DeltaV and/or the Allen Bradley family of controllers is strongly preferred, but not required. Prior experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or FDA-regulated industry is preferred, but not required. Experience in development and execution of test plans, IQ, OQ, PQ validation protocols for new or upgraded factory floor systems is a plus. Benefits
