This role is responsible for the production flow and is accountable for driving performance across output, efficiency, housekeeping, quality, and team engagement. As the Production Manager for your unit, you will take full ownership of daily shop floor execution, manage escalation processes, and ensure alignment with production schedules and operational goals. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and maintain a safe, efficient, and motivated work environment.

Job Responsibilities

Lead and manage daily production operations within the assigned business unit to ensure adherence to schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Maintain a strong floor presence, actively engaging with teams and machinery to ensure optimal performance and workflow.

Drive accountability for performance metrics including:

Output and production targets

Schedule adherence

Scrap reduction

Efficiency by labor and machine hours

Housekeeping and 5S standards

Own and manage escalation processes, providing quick and effective responses to equipment, process, or personnel issues.

Coach, support, and motivate production teams to achieve high performance and morale.

Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Planning to resolve issues and optimize performance.

Monitor and control inventory flow, work-in-progress (WIP), and material usage in coordination with planning/scheduling.

Analyze production data and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, etc.).

Lead or support improvement projects focused on throughput, quality, waste reduction, and workforce development.

Requirements

Proven experience in a Production Manager or Manufacturing Supervisor role in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment

Strong technical aptitude with hands-on familiarity with manufacturing machinery and processes

Demonstrated ability to lead and develop production teams

Solid understanding of performance metrics and tools (e.g., OEE, scrap rates, schedule adherence)

Excellent problem-solving and escalation management skills

Strong organizational and communication skills; able to align teams to goals and shift priorities as needed

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production-related systems (ERP, MES, etc.)

Experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field preferred
