About the Role The Sr Quality Engineer is responsible for interfacing with internal and external customers when quality-related topics arise. This individual will continuously assess quality capabilities for both products and processes. This position is part of the Quality Assurance department and will be an on-site role located in New Port Richey, FL.
Responsibilities
Drive internal PPM improvements using iDT&R (Internal Defect Tracking & Resolution)
Drive external PPM improvements using CDT&R (Customer Defect Tracking & Resolution)
Maintain and update value stream quality systems using standard APQP tools.
Lead Quality related Kaizen events for your respective value stream.
Collaborate with manufacturing to reduce scrap for your respective value stream.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical field. (Engineering or Technology)
5+ years of quality engineering experience
Required Skills
Experience with APQP core tools. (Experience in both development and maintenance)
Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) and DoE (Design of Experiments)
Preferred Skills
Experience using Six Sigma tools.
ASQ or Six Sigma certifications.
A regulated manufacturing environment, i.e., Aerospace or Automotive
