We are looking for experienced engineers to join the HVAC Engineering Team as Facilities HVAC Engineer to support Samsung Facilities Operations. The HVAC Engineering team oversees central utilities essential to the operation of our semiconductor wafer FABs and external customers. The scope includes, but is not limited to: chilled water systems, cooling towers, process cooling systems, steam and hot water systems, exhaust fans, scrubbers, thermal oxidizers, and process vacuum. Facilities systems are designed to run 24/7/365 without interruption. HVAC Exhaust Engineering is the technical lead for system quality, reliability, capacity and air permit compliance. This role drives air abatement process optimization, interfaces with the site Environmental Health and Safety team to ensure compliance with TCEQ air permit requirements, and collaborates with FE department leads to ensure uninterrupted facilities support. It provides technical leadership for CDA systems and process vacuum systems and works with Facilities Services on the exhaust air system test and balance program. Role And Responsibilities

Write system startup step plans and perform functional testing and performance verification. Ensure accurate system P&ID and SOO system documentation. Manage system quality and capacity to enable schedule and fab ramp. Provide oversight and communication with operations, instrumentation, maintenance, and external resources to ensure operational sustainability of facilities and equipment. Review and analyze process and equipment data to ensure they run within specifications. Improve equipment reliability through FMEA, root cause analysis, and 8D problem solving. Support development and improvement of operations and maintenance procedures/programs to ensure best practices are used. Forecast costs and expenditures for operation and maintenance of assigned systems. Develop cost reduction projects that reduce operating and maintenance expenses of those systems. Mentor junior engineers to facilitate career development and technical expertise. Skills And Qualifications

4+ years of experience in facilities, mechanical systems, or HVAC & MEP design and construction. PE license, EIT, CEM, PMP certifications are a plus. Familiarity with ASHRAE and Texas codes and standards. Data analysis experience showing strong analytical skills. Intermediate knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and systems including pumps, pneumatics, flow meters, air handling systems, industrial chilled water, heating (steam), process piping, rotating equipment, vibration analysis, heat transfer and thermodynamics. Compensation And Benefits

The current base salary range for this role is between $81,490 and $157,880. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation may include incentive programs based on company and individual performance. Total Rewards: At Samsung SAS, base pay is part of a broader compensation package.
