The Process Technology Engineer will be responsible for investigating, designing, and conducting experiments aimed at continuous improvement and new product development involving high-purity solvents and other formulated products used in advanced, integrated circuit nodes. Key responsibilities Lead Process Technology Development: Direct and oversee process technology initiatives for ultrapure solvents (UPS), focusing on advanced purification techniques such as nano-filtration and distillation. Ensure these processes are documented and promoted.

Guide New Product Development (NPD) and Continuous Improvement (CIP): Manage projects from pilot scale through high-volume manufacturing, ensuring smooth transitions and scalability.

Align Raw Materials and Strategic Sourcing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business/sales, procurement, engineering, manufacturing, R&D) to align materials and sourcing with PCS/SQC objectives.

Set Packaging Standards: Establish and document specifications for next-generation product packaging, evaluate materials of construction, and provide data-driven recommendations for future needs.

Coordinate with Customers and Suppliers: Develop and implement mutually beneficial Process Technology roadmaps for FEUS with strategic partners.

Process Simulation and Modeling: Conduct process simulation prior to pilot/distillation and scaling to optimize total cost of ownership for ultrapure solvents.

Contribute to the Global Process Technology team: Support development of product purity and quality while minimizing quality incidents and enhancing value proposition.

Establish advanced product and process development protocols: Develop characterization protocols meeting PCS and STC requirements for next-generation customer demands.

Execute design of experiments (DOE): Design and conduct experiments to understand effects of raw materials and process variables on finished product quality; refine approaches for successful product introductions.

Contribute to process control technology: Deliver robust process control technologies for measurable process and analytical parameters in-house and at supplier locations.

Research and implement advanced process technologies: Investigate filtration, distillation, ion exchange, and in-situ metrology to adopt state-of-the-art advancements.

Requirements Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering (advanced degree preferred) and at least 9 years of experience in ultrapure electronic-grade chemicals, purification processes, engineering, scale-up, and production roles. Other engineering disciplines will be considered based on relevant experience.

Demonstrated hands-on contributions to product characterization and scale-up of new products.

Subject matter expertise in process simulation and pilot production with emphasis on distillation and filtration; strong engineering skills with Six Sigma, DOE, ANOVA, problem-solving, and statistical methods.

Ability to document engineering projects and experiments clearly; excellent verbal and written communication for interactions with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering milestones and objectives.

Ability to address complex problems with logical, effective solutions and to advance team goals.

Proactive, adaptable professional who can learn quickly and respond to evolving customer requirements; capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.

Clear and strategic thinker capable of pursuing goals while aligning with team objectives and broader organizational strategies.
