Clinical Associate Physician

The University of California, Irvine (UCI) is seeking a gastroenterologist with an interest in General GI. The ideal candidate should have expertise in disease or treatment groups such as IBS, GERD, and colon cancer screening, and be competent in performing EGD and colonoscopy with polypectomy. Primary responsibilities of this position include providing Emergency Department and inpatient coverage and expanding outpatient clinical care at UCI Health community clinical sites. Required qualifications include: Demonstrated experience in quality improvement to improve patient outcomes Adherence to departmental policies, procedures, and objectives Maintenance of patient confidentiality and compliance with all state and federal privacy laws Leadership skills and ability to motivate, inspire, and communicate with faculty, residents, staff, and peers M.D. or D.O. degree, board-certified, and California licensure Active and current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification The University of California, Irvine is an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
