McLaren Health Care . Position Summary: Responsible for performing mammography and general radiologic imaging for the detection of diseases, injury, and foreign bodies. Department: McLaren Imaging Center Shift: Days Daily Work Times: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours: 48 Responsibilities include: Performing radiological examinations, minimum of 17 patients in an 8-hour period. Transferring and positioning patients using accepted safety and lifting techniques, applying immobilization devices as necessary. Providing patient and image identification on all examinations for medical and legal documentation. Completing documentation of all radiologic examinations, ensuring image quality meets radiologist standards. Selecting and operating radiological equipment, adjusting technical factors to ensure compliance with department standards. Qualifications: Two (2) years of formal education/training beyond high school or an Associate's Degree. Certified in Mammography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or within 12 months of employment. At least 1 month of job-related experience. Eligible for registration/certification as a Radiologic Technologist, with certification passed within 6 months of completing schooling. Certified in CPR.
