Patient Care Tech (Per Diem) - Cardiovascular

Overview Under the supervision of a Nurse Leader, the Patient Care Tech is responsible for performing duties that support patient care, including direct and indirect activities essential to a safe and efficient care environment. This position performs selected interventions and activities that contribute to comprehensive care, and works with the care team to ensure a positive patient experience in a high‑activity work environment.
Responsibilities
Perform direct and indirect patient care activities essential for a safe and efficient care environment.
Support the care team to ensure a positive patient experience.
Complete specific duties that support patient care in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards, policies, and procedures.
Adjust to a flexible schedule as required by the high‑activity environment.
Eligible for career advancement through a clinical ladder based on experience, skillsets, and certifications held.
Qualifications
No experience required; training provided on‑site.
Successful completion of PCT specific HHC orientation.
Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 60 days of hire.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Some relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment preferred.
Certification as a CNA, CPCT/A, EMT, or CMA preferred to advance in the PCT clinical ladder.
