Job Summary & Responsibilities
Administer oral and IV contrast; evaluate patients for allergic reactions; place correct IV for the exam.
Load and operate MedRad power injector.
Operate and understand CT scanning equipment; practice ALARA standards; understand physician protocols and scan appropriately.
Assist interventional radiologists with procedures.
Maintain a clean work environment and stock the department with supplies and linens.
Move, lift, and assist patients onto and off the scanner table.
Qualifications
State Registered Radiologic Technician.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or BCLS Instructor obtained within 30 days of employment.
Registered Radiographer (ARRT) or Registered Computed Tomography Technologist.
