Electrical Quality Engineer (Wiring & Harness Focus)
We’re seeking an
Electrical Quality Engineer
with strong hands‑on experience in electrical assembly, wiring, and harness manufacturing. This role focuses on maintaining and improving product quality in a high‑mix electrical assembly environment, ensuring compliance with key industry standards and quality systems.
What You’ll Do
Lead quality initiatives related to wiring, terminations, harnesses, and cabling.
Inspect and validate electrical assemblies in accordance with IPC‑A‑610 and IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 standards.
Support production and engineering teams with root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement.
Maintain ISO 9001 documentation and contribute to internal audits.
Apply Quality Engineering tools such as PPAP, 8D problem solving, and risk analysis to drive consistent quality performance.
Ensure compliance with ESD control requirements under ANSI/ESD S20.20.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in electrical or electronic assembly manufacturing.
Working knowledge of IPC standards (IPC‑A‑610, IPC/WHMA‑A‑620).
Familiarity with ISO 9001, PPAP, CAPA, and other core quality tools.
Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
Preferred
Experience with transformer or PCB assembly environments.
ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, etc.) is a plus.
Not a Fit If
You have a general quality background without hands‑on electrical or wiring experience.
