Electrical Engineer

in our Advanced Manufacturing group, you’ll contribute to projects that enable data center facilities engineering, design and construction. You may work on engineering and design of data centers and other mission-critical facilities. This position is located at our

office. Responsibilities

Provide design work, contribute to team technical collaboration, perform quality reviews of design packages, and assist directly with other portions of the design process. Interact directly with the client, owner, and contractors to assist construction on site. Collaborate with a broader multi-discipline team to establish design requirements and produce construction documents. Engineer and design data center facility power distribution systems, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low voltage communications systems in complex industrial facilities. Design may include retrofit of existing building systems to accommodate evolving client requirements. Manage quality, scope, budget, and schedule as part of project responsibilities. Bachelor\'s Degree in Electrical Engineering At least 3 years of experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems, building electrical systems, and campus-style power distribution including conveyance Knowledge of and experience with industrial facility design Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) Effective verbal and written communication skills Preferred

Data center facility design experience Analytical and problem-solving skills Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas Ability to learn quickly and broaden knowledge base Ability to collaborate and work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams Passionate about buildings and construction Experience in the design of large projects on greenfield sites Salary and benefits

The base salary range for this position is

$76,700.00

to

$100,650.00

per year. The range and individual pay are determined by work location and factors including job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Health and welfare benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discount. Eligible employees may enroll in deferred compensation plans. Jacobs offers an unlimited U.S. Personal Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time salaried/exempt employees, seven paid holidays, one floating holiday, and caregiver leave. Some roles may be eligible for rewards, including merit increases, discretionary bonuses, and stock.
