Overview
Construction Project Manager I Job Locations: US-MA-Boston | US-RI-Providence Next 150 Construction is seeking a Project Manager I to serve as the on-site project manager responsible for supporting the overall direction, completion and financial outcome for various projects across the Midwest. This position will supervise/mentor project staff which may include multiple Project Engineers and Superintendents. The role is on the job site every day and will be integral to the Next 150 project team and the broader organization. Next 150 Construction is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gilbane Building Company and serves as the self-perform, equipment and materials arm of the company. Gilbane is a Top-10 ENR Contractor with 45 offices, dedicated to delivering projects safely and on time. Provide leadership in motivating the project team and maintain a positive work environment Manage the project using established project controls and procedures Perform constructability and coordination reviews Communicate with construction manager, architects and subcontractors regarding project risk, timetables, costs/budgets, and change management Perform pre-construction planning, scheduling, estimating and cost control Prepare monthly reports including cost, schedule, safety, cash flow, etc. for internal and/or external use Provide jobsite leadership in safety and quality Prepare contingency plans for potential risks, expanding contractual services and project profit Work closely with accounting to prepare and review billing Attend jobsite coordination meetings Collaborate with onsite equipment planner and field crew for material and equipment planning and projections Work with field and labor crews on project planning and projections Qualifications
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management 3-5 years of Project Management experience on projects valued at $50 million or larger Or equivalent combination of education and experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Strong technical and communication skills Ability to work in a team environment Knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office (preferred) Experience coordinating trades and administering subcontracts Estimating experience preferred Experience working in a self-performing environment (having spent time with a self-performing general contractor) Union experience a plus Salary to be determined based on location, skills, education, and experience. Pay ranges from $105,000.00 - $150,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
