Your Opportunity Stantec’s New Jersey Transportation group has an immediate need for talented, team‑oriented Civil Engineers with 0-3 years of experience in roadway/highway design, traffic control & construction staging design, right‑of‑way engineering, access design, and utility engineering. The position is for our Rochelle Park, NJ office. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of transportation projects ranging from local roads and complete streets to major interstates and shared use paths, with opportunities to learn, grow, and advance your career. Your Key Responsibilities Design roadways in accordance with AASHTO and NJDOT specifications and CADD standards using MicroStation and InRoads. Develop design plans and calculations, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates. Prepare engineering reports and technical studies such as design memos, feasibility studies, Concept Design Reports, Design Exception Reports, and Preliminary Engineering Reports. Perform field work and provide construction phase services support. Interact with and present project designs to clients, agencies, and the public. Collaborate with experienced practitioners to expand your knowledge. Your Capabilities and Credentials Experience with MicroStation & InRoads, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus. EIT preferred but not required. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum of 0-3 years of experience in both small and large-scale highway improvement projects. Typical office environment working with computers; field work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather. Some roles are bonus eligible.
