Position Objective:
To lead the identification of process related issues and bridge the gap between tech development and operations regarding onboarding and transfer process while resolution of opportunities for improvement within the Value Stream at assigned plant to improve Safety, Quality, Productivity performance, Delivery, and Inventory through the use of documented procedures and check lists that follow the Lean toolsets and internal and external resources. Develop procedures to guide plant personnel to perform tasks in a repeatable and sustainable process.

Responsibilities
Work with the Technical Development Team, Engineering, Quality, Production, Graphic Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Procurement, Sales Department, and Vendors in the support of operations to onboard new and existing products with a focus on process and performance improvement opportunities in the areas of safety, quality, performance, delivery, and inventory.
Develop, configure, and optimize print and converting processes from ideation through post-delivery application.
Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, product design, material use and yield, tooling and production equipment capabilities, and quality control standards.
Use fact‑based analysis to identify gaps and develop corrective and preventative actions.
Responsible for the timely implementation of countermeasures.
Continuously analyze the optimization of utilization of the workforce, workspace, and equipment.
Identify and implement improvement projects applying Lean methodologies and tools.
Coordinate and direct investigations in new processes, materials, and other related technologies and provide training for operations as required.
Develop and implement process control methodologies, establishing robust, repeatable, and reproducible process parameters.
Provide technical assistance and expertise to resolve production problems, implement corrective action, and train operators as needed.
Document best practices through the development of single‑point lessons, videos, and other training materials.
Maintain process documentation, review processing methods, and interface with production personnel during process implementation.
Represent Operations on New Product Development teams, ensuring new products are brought to market capable of being manufactured to accepted specifications.
Recommend equipment improvements and new technologies for use in the manufacturing process.
Leverage learnings from other MCC facilities to reduce redundancy and increase the speed of implementation.
Actively participate in daily Gemba walks, War Room, and other site meetings as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred, or equivalent knowledge and experience is required.
Minimum 5+ years of production‑relevant technical printing experience as a process engineer or manufacturing engineer in a printing, manufacturing, or packaging environment within flexographic, offset, rotary gravure, lithographic printing, and digital technologies, with a strong focus on continuous improvement in a fast‑paced Lean atmosphere.
Preferred Skills
Experience with validation, installation, troubleshooting, and setup of processes, layouts, and equipment.
Working knowledge of process engineering software packages.
Experience leading technical resources to maintain production line equipment to achieve high productivity.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate priorities simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience using Office suite for reporting, documenting, and analysis.
Ability to analyze data to identify trends, perform DOE, and evaluate impact of changes.
Must be self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and action‑oriented.
Must possess sound interpersonal skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
