Job Description We are seeking a qualified candidate for a full‑time Wastewater Utility Engineer position with an investor‑owned public utility operating a wastewater collection system servicing the City of Atlantic City.
Responsibilities
Design and maintain wastewater collection systems.
Ensure efficient operation of wastewater pump systems.
Collaborate on projects involving sanitary sewer, stormwater, and municipal engineering.
Utilize AutoCAD for design and engineering tasks.
Participate in public works and water treatment projects.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
3‑5 years of experience in design and maintenance of wastewater collection systems.
Proficiency in wastewater engineering and mechanical design.
Knowledge of wastewater pump systems and O&M procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with municipal engineering projects.
Understanding of stormwater and sanitary sewer systems.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and civil engineering design tools.
Work Environment This position is full‑time and onsite, Monday through Friday, with office hours generally from 9 AM to 4 PM. The role offers medical, dental, vision, group term life, short‑term and long‑term disability, pension, paid holidays, and PTO. The position reports to the Vice President of Operations. A drug test and background check are required for employment.
Job Type & Location Permanent position based out of Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Pay And Benefits The salary range for this position is $70,000 – $90,000 per year. Position is salaried with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, group term life, short‑term and long‑term disability, pension, paid holidays, and PTO. A drug test and background check are required for employment.
