The Electrical Engineer will contribute to the release of new products; will work in a cross-functional development group; manage a variety of tasks and activities in a dynamic environment; and solve complex problems where no precedence exists.
Location: Vertiv Westerville, OH (Polaris) – onsite.
Responsibilities
Contribute to design projects with complex design challenges and broad scope.
Create 3‑Dimensional models using CAD packages.
Develop and revise schematics, drawings and bill of materials.
Interact with employees, outside vendors and suppliers as needed.
Build prototypes to support product design development.
Participate in identifying cost‑reduction opportunities and in designing and developing cost‑saving changes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSME) or directly related degree.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in developing electrical parts and assemblies.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to use a personal computer and job‑related software.
Ability to work and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent project management skills.
Demonstrated record of meeting deadlines and goals for design projects.
Proficiency with applicable engineering modeling tools.
Technical knowledge of electrical design.
Working knowledge of product lifecycle management tools.
Experience delivering quality products to market, respecting all phases of the product development process.
Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
Familiar with NEC and experienced with NRTL.
