in Dallas, Texas. As part of the Buildings team, this role will support the assessment of existing facilities and the development of electrical designs in support of various Buildings projects. Responsibilities include investigating, planning, design, and commissioning of existing facilities components and systems, facility electrical, lighting, telecommunications, security, and fire alarm systems. This role will also involve coordination with other support disciplines and coordination with regional offices, assisting project managers in the design of projects, and following quality assurance and quality control plans. Required abilities and attributes include the ability to communicate with project team members, building owner representatives, and architectural clients, willingness to participate in client relations, foundational knowledge of building components and systems, proficiency in CAD and BIM design software, and the ability to perform electrical related calculations with oversight. Requirements for this role include a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering with an electrical focus from an ABET-accredited university, Registered Engineer In Training (EIT), 1 to 5 years of building design and construction industry experience, and experience completing electrical designs for building projects. Preferred skills include experience working as an engineer sub-consultant to architectural building design firms and experience with Autodesk Revit.
