This position is a hybrid to our Aurora, IL Factor production facility. You will support the design of distribution facilities, including new facilities, facility retrofits, conveyor changes, and other material handling equipment changes. You will utilize DMAIC process to implement changes that will improve efficiencies, capacity & throughput. You will develop preferred methods/standard operating procedures for the warehouse in conjunction with operational support. You will introduce and adapt improvement methodologies as appropriate (ex: Lean, Six Sigma). You will manage processes, projects, and systems to achieve unit goals in accordance with company policies and practices. You will create an effective work environment by setting clear objectives, successfully integrating with teams, and maintaining open communication.

Responsibilities

Support the design of distribution facilities, including new facilities, facility retrofits, conveyor changes, and other material handling equipment changes.

Utilize DMAIC process to implement changes that will improve efficiencies, capacity & throughput.

Develop preferred methods/standard operating procedures for the warehouse in conjunction with operational support.

Introduce and adapt improvement methodologies as appropriate (ex: Lean, Six Sigma).

Manage processes, projects, and systems to achieve unit goals in accordance with company policies and practices.

Create an effective work environment by setting clear objectives, successfully integrating with teams, and maintaining open communication.

Qualifications

Able to analyze and provide solutions for cost reduction through process improvements and cost/benefit analysis.

Able to interact with individuals at various levels of the organization, up and down.

Proficient in utilizing labor data to cost-justify capital expenditure and process change ROI.

A planner and an organizer.

Able to interact effectively with others.

Experienced in developing preferred methods/Standard Operating Procedures.

Minimum requirements

BS in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field is required.

2 years of engineering and project management experience in multi-site industrial distribution, manufacturing, or processing environments.

Extensive experience with Excel and Word

AutoCAD proficiency required.

Lean Six Sigma certification and Kaizen experience.

Experience with using and improving Warehouse Control Systems and Warehouse Management Systems.

Illinois Pay Range – $84,300—$94,850 USD
