The IU Health Cancer Radiation Center at Indiana University Health has an opening for a Medical Physicist position in Bloomington, Indiana. This is a full-time position and will cover clinics in Bloomington and surrounding communities. Join a collaborative and supportive team providing excellence in treatment to cancer patients with the latest cancer fighting technologies and leading cancer specialists. Responsibilities

Provide therapeutic radiation to outpatient cancer patients The successful candidate is expected to perform clinical service, participate in quality improvement & research, participate in the teaching of students, and demonstrate a commitment to diversity and underrepresented or minority groups. Schedule Monday-Friday 8 am- 4:30 pm Qualifications

Requires a Masters or PhD in medical physics. Must be board certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiological Physics or a board eligible resident in/or graduating from CAMPEP accredited Radiation Oncology residency programs Excellent communication and collaboration skills Call or text for compensation details Community Description

The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center opened in December 2021. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center. It also strengthens healthcare education by providing space for collaboration and coordination of care and teaching. Students and trainees frequently come to the hospital side of the facility for clinical experiences.
