Battery Materials Characterization Technician/Engineer

to support the development of next-generation lithium-ion batteries. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in electrochemistry, hands-on experience with characterization tools, and a deep understanding of battery performance and degradation mechanisms. Job Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth materials characterization and FA on silicon anode materials and battery cells

Design and develop advanced silicon anode materials for lithium-ion batteries

Collaborate with internal and external partners to scale up promising materials and processes

Candidate Requirements

Bachelor, or M.S. or PhD in materials science, chemical engineering, electrochemistry or a related field

3+ year of relevant industry or academic research experience

Deep understanding of electrochemical performance metrics, degradation mechanisms, and material interfaces

Hands-on experience with materials characterization tools (e.g., SEM, TEM, XRD, XPS, Raman)

Familiarity with battery cell design, prototyping, and testing protocols

Strong collaboration skills to work across materials science, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
