Primary Function: The Electrician, Maintenance performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy (Electrical Distribution System).
Performs maintenance and repair of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment.
Troubleshoots and makes repairs during large power interruptions and prevents outages.
Tests electrical systems and equipment for integrity and proper function.
Works from blueprints, drawings, and maps; diagnoses trouble using electricians' hand tools and measuring/testing instruments.
Maintains and repairs exterior lighting systems, including streetlights, parking lot lights, and traffic lights.
Provides on-call support for 24/7 emergency repairs.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Four (4) years’ experience
Possess C-10 License
Ability to work safely on high voltage systems (600 volts and up), both above ground and underground
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, electrical safety (NEC, NFPA 70E)
Working Environment: Fast-paced, multi-tasking, customer service-oriented environment requiring adaptability and efficient performance.
