Overview
Sr. Electrical Test Engineer Location: Irvine, CA — onsite work only. Position type: Fulltime/C2C. Visa: USC only. We need engineers who are from Avionics, Aviation and Aerospace domains and also Qualified Graduate Engineers only. Responsibilities
Hands-on experience in a repair station, troubleshooting returned units that are in service. Open box troubleshooting: observe and test circuit boards to identify non-functioning portions. Run thermal and vibration testing with electronic units while monitoring data lines with an oscilloscope. Write and submit Engineering Investigation Reports/FARs to GAC via SEM. Learn how to test for known issues with existing product lines. Develop troubleshooting tests for emerging issues in new and existing product lines. Interface with the Project Engineer to support technical meetings with customers and prioritize FARs to prevent AOG (Aircraft on Ground). Interface with GAR engineers to discuss findings and status of investigations. Access R-Card (repair shop data) and interpret test findings and failure observations from the database and test data sheets. Interface with Materials and Processes lab to submit lab evaluation requests and interpret findings at the hydraulic component level. Collect, organize, and interpret all component test results, failure observations, SIL testing, and lab analysis as directed. Provide engineering directed test and inspection instructions in R-Card to assembly and test technicians in Ogden and Dublin to gather additional data for investigations. Generate FARs per the GAC format to correlate findings to aircraft-level fault. Determine if failure mode is atypical and may require trend monitoring. Work location: Customer Support Engineering office in Irvine, CA. Business travel may be required to Savannah, Ogden or Dublin; travel up to 5 days may be needed. Qualifications
