Job Summary:

Join our community-focused Emergency Department at Mercy Hospital's Unity Campus, where you'll provide critical care in a 33-bed unit with specialized stabilization and mental health suites. Benefit from a tailored orientation program and a supportive team environment, serving a diverse patient population in a Level 4 trauma center. With an average of 46,000 visits per year, you'll experience a dynamic and rewarding work setting. Key Position Details

Tier 1: Minimum one year RN ED experience Tier 2: Minimum one year RN critical care or EMS experience, or successful completion of ED orientation Tier 3: One year RN acute care medical experience or New Graduate with ED/EMT/EMS experience 0.6 FTE (48-hours per two-week pay period) 12-hour night shifts Every 3rd weekend Responsibilities

Comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs; identification of outcomes based on needs assessment; establishing the plan of care; supervising the progress; and modification of the plan of care as needed. Maintains education and competencies to remain proficient to provide high quality patient care practice and skills. Incorporates evidence-based nursing practice taking into consideration current statutes, rules and regulations when developing the plan of care. Establishes, in collaboration with the family and patient, realistic and measurable patient outcomes based on nursing diagnoses, patient’s present and potential capabilities, goals, available resources and plan for continuity of care. Identifies outcomes that are age appropriate, culturally appropriate, realistic and attainable. Coordinates, collaborates, and delegates appropriately to ensure care is provided in a safe, effective fashion. Fulfills all organizational requirements. Supplemental roles:

Charge Nurse (only when acting in this role). Demonstrates ability to coordinate, delegate, and direct unit operation, collaborates effectively with unit staff, leadership and other disciplines. Preceptor (only when acting in this role). Demonstrates ability to identify the orientee's learning needs, plans appropriate learning experiences and demonstrates ability to validate clinical competence of orientee.

Bachelor's degree ED RN experience Licenses/Certifications

Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing required if working in state of MN upon hire / WI Department of Safety & Professional Services required if working in the state of WI upon hire Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire) Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - Multisource required within 1 Year Additional certifications may be needed at certain sites: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) Other certifications may be required within 1 year of hire Physical Demands

Medium Work Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently Pay Range

Pay Range: $42.92 to $71.47 per hour. The pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work. Benefit Summary
