Responsibilities
The surgical technologists will work directly with the surgical team. They will be responsible for preparing the surgical suite according to patient age, medical condition, and surgeon preference. The candidate will perform sponge, sharp, and instrument counts following hospital policies and procedures. Cross-training in other surgical areas within our system is required. The candidate must demonstrate competency in aseptic surgical equipment annually. Qualifications
1. Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification 2. Willing to be cross-trained in other areas 3. Commitment to and adherence to STHS's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct, including compliance with all policies, attendance at required training, and prompt reporting of suspected compliance issues to the Compliance Officer. 4. Completion of a Surgical Technologist program or military training program, with certification maintained 5. Current BLS certification according to unit-specific needs, in accordance with AHA Healthcare Provider's Program curriculum EEO Statement
