Medical Assistant I (SEIU)

Summary
Under direct supervision, you will assist clinicians with routine clinical procedures and tests in the exam room, advise patients on exam preparation, ensure pre‑visit work is completed, and guarantee that lab and other test results are available in the electronic medical record (EMR). You will deliver excellent customer service, strengthen patient–clinician relationships, and improve clinical operations by providing efficient patient flow. You may provide direct clinical support to one or more assigned clinicians. Education / Licenses / Certifications
• Minimum one year of clinical or customer‑service experience (a bachelor’s degree may substitute for experience). • Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet programs. • Electronic medical record (EMR) experience or aptitude to master the EMR based on existing technology experience.
