Responsibilities The Critical Care Independent Multidisciplinary Practice (IMP) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA) for a position in the Mayo Clinic Hospital – Coronary Intensive Care Unit (CICU) caring for medical cardiology patients in the critical care setting. Selected candidates hired into this role will have the opportunity to partner with multidisciplinary intensivists to manage a wide variety of critically ill patients with cardiac needs including structural, ischemic heart failure, pre-cardiac transplant, interventional and heart rhythm issues. NP/PAs in this area will perform admission history and physicals, daily notes, order/interpret tests, manage medication regimes, as well as ordering diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. There is potential for performing select procedures based on need and experience of the provider. Candidates should have a strong desire to care for critically ill patients and ICU experience/exposure, although extensive training and mentoring will be included as part of orientation to this new role. Qualifications Doctorate or masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and nurse practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification, or eligible to be certified, as an FNP, ANP or ACNP; or Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by the NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.

Two Years Of NP/PA Experience Is Preferred. The NP PA must be eligible for DEA registration. Compensation Detail $128,419.20 - $179,108.80 (based on a 1.0 FTE) Benefits Eligible Yes Schedule Full Time Hours/Pay Period 80 Schedule Details 24/7 coverage area; This position requires rotations of days, nights, weekends as well as holiday coverage.
