ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF PUBLIC HEALTH Health & Kinesiology — University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The Department of Health and Kinesiology is seeking an exceptional candidate for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The candidate should have an active research program with the ability to establish and sustain an externally funded research agenda, teach and develop courses in undergraduate and graduate programs (including biostatistics and epidemiology), support new programming within the MPH program (residential and online), mentor students, collaborate with faculty and staff, engage in departmental and professional service, and partner with community organizations on public health initiatives. Responsibilities
Develop and sustain an externally funded research program. Teach and develop undergraduate and graduate courses (e.g., biostatistics and epidemiology). Support MPH program development and delivery in residential and online modalities. Mentor students and collaborate with faculty, staff, and community partners on public health initiatives. Engage in departmental and professional service. Qualifications
PhD, DrPH, DVM, or MD in public health, community health, epidemiology, biostatistics, kinesiology, or a related field. Strong scholarly record and teaching experience appropriate for an Assistant Professor rank at UIUC. Research interests may include health behavior and promotion, health disparities, one health, rural health, community assessment surveillance, and evaluating community-level interventions through epidemiology/biostatistics. Experience collaborating with communities on public health initiatives is desirable. Salary and Appointment Information
Budgeted salary range: $80,000 to $95,000. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, with start-up funds and a benefits package. This is a 100% full-time Academic position, appointed on a 9-month basis. Application Process
