Radiology Tech I - Full Time 32 Hours - Evenings - Germantown at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare (MLH). This role operates imaging equipment to perform radiology procedures for a defined patient population and supports MLH's mission and values. Responsibilities
Performs quality radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods. Monitors and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures. Effectively manages resources such as supplies and equipment; plans work and completes job responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner. Demonstrates professional work behavior and excellent customer service routinely in all interactions. Education Qualifications
Technical Degree or Diploma in Radiology Experience Qualifications
No prior work experience Skills And Abilities
Basic knowledge of radiographic equipment and imaging procedures. Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers. Basic knowledge of radiology information systems (RIS, HIS, and PACS preferred). Licenses and Certifications
BLS - American Heart Association Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Supervision Provided by this Position
There are no supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this job, except that the incumbent may occasionally demonstrate various job responsibilities to other Associates and observe/instruct student technologists. Physical Demands
The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. Medium work - exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently. Close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision to perform activities such as assessing patients, preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, or extensive reading. Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact. Exposure to patient body fluids and exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials. Ability to react quickly to emergency situations. Seniority level
