Overview
The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a clinical psychologist to join the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health as a Psychologist - Psychosis Emphasis (Open Rank/Track Faculty). Academic rank and track are commensurate with academic record and experience.
Position Overview At OSUWMC, we are committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. We seek candidates who complement our current strengths and support our clinical mission, with a focus on building our psychosis program. The successful candidate will work within the interdisciplinary EPICENTER team in caring for patients with and at risk for psychotic and related disorders in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health. The psychologist directs or provides care in a manner consistent with the privileges granted by the governing body of University Hospitals and approved by the University Board of Trustees.
Department/Division Overview The successful candidate will join a 60+-member Section of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health. The section offers robust training opportunities, including externship experiences, psychology pre-doctoral internship, and several fellowship programs. Duties and Responsibilities Faculty responsibilities align with our tripartite mission of patient care, education, and clinical research. The psychologist will join a multidisciplinary team serving patients referred for treatment of psychosis and related disorders, providing clinical evaluation and assessment, individual cognitive behavioral therapy, metacognitive remediation therapy, family education and support, and community education. This requires thorough knowledge of the DSM-5 and mental health diagnoses within the ICD-10. The position offers ample opportunities to contribute to training, research, and other scholarly pursuits. Other duties include representing the program or Department by participating in committees, conferences, and professional meetings and community speaking engagements. The psychologist is expected to practice within the Medical Center’s established standards, policies, procedures, and protocols, and to adhere to key results areas of the Medical Center.
Requirements Doctoral Degree in Psychology. Licensed or license-eligible in the state of Ohio. Applicants must come from an APA- or CPA-accredited clinical or counseling psychology doctoral program (with an accredited clinical internship), have at least one year of relevant post-doctoral experience, and be licensed in Ohio by the time of appointment. The psychologist must be competent in technical clinical skills and possess the cognitive and interpersonal abilities required to serve patients receiving the above-mentioned services. Candidates with previous training or experience working with patients with psychotic disorders will be given preference.

Clinical faculty are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years, with possible reappointment. Their principal focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care and may include teaching and/or research.
Tenure-Track faculty
(regardless of rank) refers to titles of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. They focus on research, service, and teaching. Tenure-track faculty with MD or MD/PhD degrees may also be involved in clinical care.
Research Faculty
(regardless of rank) refers to titles such as research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. They hold a doctoral degree or other terminal degree and are not eligible for tenure, appointed for terms of one to five years, with a principal focus on research.
