Provides the highest quality age-appropriate care for patients newborn to 20 years of age within scope of practice and established standards for speech-language pathology. Functions effectively as a member of the rehabilitation team and supports safe patient care and a safe environment. Evaluates patients and develops appropriate plan of care; implements effective treatment interventions founded in evidence-based practice to achieve functional outcomes. Completes documentation meeting departmental standards for content, accuracy, and timeliness. Includes family/caregiver in patient care and provides education and documentation appropriate for learning needs. Provides clinical oversight to Speech-Language Pathology Aides, Clinical Fellows/Paid Clinical Experiences, and students as assigned. Demonstrates competencies across age groups (neonate to adult) and follows age-specific guidelines. Maintains and monitors the work environment to ensure Joint Commission readiness; travels to clinical locations as required by patient census, program development, or contract obligations with physician practices. Qualifications
Education: Master\'s degree in Communication Disorders/Speech-Language Pathology Licensure/Certification: Georgia licensed Speech-Language Pathologist; American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology; Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment Experience: Preferred 1 year of experience in pediatrics or related experience in speech-language pathology; experience in a supervisory role Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of pediatric theory and practice; excellent oral and written communication; positive interpersonal skills; ability to function in an interdisciplinary environment; ability to pass Basic Windows Skill Assessment at 80% or higher within 30 days of employment Education & Certification Summary
