Job Summary Primarily responsible for monitoring and maintaining process chemistry, supporting water treatment systems, and ensuring final product quality.
Essential Job Duties / Responsibilities
Chemical Process Maintenance: Assist in maintaining process tank chemistry, including pH, temperature, and TDS.
Perform regular tank decants and chemical additions to ensure consistent anodizing quality.
Record data for process tanks.
Change filters and conduct chemical replenishments to sustain optimal bath conditions.
Water Treatment & Environmental Support: Pump and refill rinse tanks to maintain water quality and prevent cross-contamination.
Assist in water treatment processes, adhering to environmental and facility guidelines.
Support spill response and clean-up efforts as required.
Quality Control & Documentation: Review and disposition all NCR daily.
Conduct visual and instrumental inspections of final products to confirm compliance with quality specifications.
Accurately document chemical measurements, observations, and adjustments in accordance with company protocols.
Facility & Inventory Support: Maintain an organized and clean chemical storage room.
Clean and prepare returnable chemical drums for reuse.
Coordinate with production personnel to prioritize tank maintenance according to the production schedule.
Any other job duties as assigned.
Physical / Environmental / Chemical Hazards
Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Sharp parts, sharp tooling, heavy carts, occasional hot and cold temperature and humidity levels, heat from ovens, moderate noise levels, limited hand and air tool use, compressed air (must use hearing protection).
Must be able to differentiate between color variances.
Potential splash exposure near process lines.
Responsibilities are repetitive in nature.
Various chemicals used in processing.
Education / Qualifications
High-school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to read, comprehend and write English on documents such as work orders, safety instructions and dispositions of parts.
Ability to speak English sufficiently to allow for adequate communications in emergencies and to allow for effective cooperation with teammates.
