CCCN has an exciting opportunity for a Radiation Therapist Float to work within the Las Vegas, Nevada area. In this role, you will work with some of the best physicians while providing care to patients in a successful health care organization. Scope
Under direct supervision, administer radiation therapy treatments to patients. Accuracy in positioning the beam to correspond with the designated tumor volume and accurately delivering the prescribed dose are paramount job functions. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Responsibilities
Delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist. Enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into the electronic medical record. Participates in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students. Assists in maintaining patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information. Cuts blocks, when applicable. Makes custom molds. Completes simple mu calculations. Interprets a computerized treatment plan. Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Will float to various sites. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program. Requires 0-3 years' experience actively practicing as an RTT. ARRT certification required.
