Mental Wellbeing Support Program

Responsibilities As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will diagnose, treat, and manage communication and swallowing disorders across ages. Primary responsibilities include:

Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders using standardized assessments and clinical observations to identify the nature and severity of communication challenges.

Treatment Planning and Intervention: Develop individualized treatment plans and conduct therapy sessions with evidence-based techniques addressing speech production, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing function.

Therapeutic Interventions: Implement a range of therapies including articulation drills, language exercises, cognitive-communication tasks, voice therapy, fluency strategies, and management protocols with personalized coaching.

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC): Assess and implement AAC systems when needed, collaborating with patients, families, and caregivers to optimize communication.

Dysphagia Management: Evaluate and treat swallowing disorders with clinical assessments, exercises, compensatory strategies, diet modifications, and rehabilitation to ensure safe swallowing and adequate nutrition.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program

Current license/certification in the state of practice
