Position Purpose

Full-Time Veterinarian (DVM) – Veterinary Medical Center | Slidell, LA 490 Robert Blvd, Slidell, Louisiana 70458. Veterinary Medical Center is excited to welcome a Full-Time Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) to our dedicated and compassionate team in beautiful Slidell, Louisiana! We are a well-established, full-service veterinary practice focused on delivering high-quality, personalized care to our patients and their families. Our team is collaborative, supportive, and passionate about providing the best in veterinary medicine. Now offering Up to $20,000 in Sign on Bonuses! What We're Looking For We are seeking a DVM who is Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the state of Louisiana Compassionate, client-focused, and team-oriented Comfortable with general practice, diagnostics, and soft tissue surgery Eager to grow professionally within a supportive environment 2+ years of experience.

Essential Responsibilities

Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.

Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.

Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.

Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.

Provide counsel around pet end of life care.

Maintain patients' medical records.

Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.

Appropriate state licensure.

Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.

Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
