Axalta
Supports the research and development team by preparing, testing, and evaluating coating formulations. This position requires hands-on lab work, independent experiment execution, and accurate documentation of results, while maintaining a safe and efficient lab environment.
Prepare and evaluate coating formulations (electro-coat, primer, topcoat, clear coat) using mixing and spray equipment
Train on and operate application equipment to spray test substrates
Conduct lab testing and accurately record results
Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with research team to resolve discrepancies
Maintain and calibrate lab equipment as needed
Monitor and manage inventory of chemicals and supplies
Ensure safe handling, labeling, and disposal of chemical materials
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant workspace
Contribute to workflow planning and experiment design
Summarize findings and communicate using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Teams)
