The Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers seeks to hire a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Psychopathology and Interpersonal Functioning Lab, led by Dr. Nicole Cain. The lab focuses on how interpersonal experiences influence maladaptive behaviors and outcomes. We leverage smartphone-based real-time monitoring to study proximal risk related to interpersonal dysfunction, such as the relationship between momentary social disconnection and suicidal ideation in daily life. The postdoc will gain experience in clinical research methods, with involvement in projects on interpersonal functioning, personality pathology, and suicide risk. The postdoc is expected to actively engage in writing manuscripts and grants to advance the lab’s aims and their own independent line of research. Rutgers postdocs have access to training and scholarly activities (clinical and research seminars, lab meetings, case conferences, advanced diagnostic training). Clinical supervision can be provided for licensure requirements. Position Status
