Wellstar is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Ear Nose & Throat practice at Roswell, including our Head and Neck Cancer program at Wellstar North Fulton Cancer Center. Responsibilities
Perform first OR assist duties Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations and record data in the patient’s medical record in ambulatory practice. Clinical responsibilities require thorough attention to detail. Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care. Write progress notes; prepare patient work-ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings. Develop plans of care that minimize complications and troubleshoot problems when they arise; apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications. Complete pre-op appointments for surgical patients, work with supervising physician to ensure all required labs, clearances and testing are satisfactorily complete well before surgery. Participate as a full member of a multidisciplinary care team. Qualifications
Must hold a Physician Assistant or Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with RNFA or Dual Acute Care and Family Certified Nurse Practitioner with RNFA (or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire). Previous ENT experience preferred; OR experience or training preferred. ACLS/BLS required. Employment details
