Travel - Interim Director of Nursing - Long Term Care Join to apply for the Travel - Interim Director of Nursing - Long Term Care role at Good Samaritan Location: Remote, SD (Central Time). Shift: Day. Job Schedule: Full time. Weekly Hours: 40. Must be willing to travel to CO, IA, KS, MN, ND, NE and SD for assignments. Average assignment length is 9-13 weeks. Responsibilities

Provide temporary nursing facility leadership and support; administer the nursing program in a long term care facility to maintain standards of resident care; facilitate optimization of geriatric care processes to improve quality and efficiency of service. Assume responsibility for the overall quality of care provided by the organization\'s nursing personnel; advise medical staff, department heads, and administrators on nursing service strategies; interpret policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups. Monitor nursing staff operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and practices; schedule staff and conduct employee performance reviews; provide nursing care to residents as needed. Assist in development and implementation of marketing activities/programs including community activities, special events and media activities. Oversee day-to-day operations of the long term care facility, including quality of resident care, program/care management, environmental safety, budgeting considerations, and regulatory compliance; delegate and coordinate clinical, operational, and managerial activities to achieve department objectives. Maintain communication and adapt to the rapidly changing healthcare environment; lead development and execution of clinical programs, policies, procedures, and protocols ensuring system integration and adherence. Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in nursing required. Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred (CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA). For Rural Health Network facilities and Good Samaritan Society locations, employees without a Bachelor\'s degree may have an educational plan toward a Bachelor\'s degree within five years of hire; leadership may consider qualifications and work experience equivalency based on facility size, rural market, and business need prior to new Sanford education requirements. Five years nursing experience required. Housing with Services, HUD, and/or assisted living experience also helpful. Thorough knowledge of the nursing practice act and standards of nursing care; working knowledge of administrative and management techniques. Unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs, and/or multistate licensure if in an NLC state. Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications. Benefits
