Licensed Master or Mate on Factory Trawler - Alaska Bering Sea United States Seafoods is a factory trawler company that fishes out of Alaska. We are looking for entry level and experienced crew members to work on board commercial factory trawler vessels. We are seeking full-time, long-term employees who are willing to work a rotating schedule throughout the year. Responsibilities

Manage operations on the vessel to produce a high-quality product, including bag size, tow times, and deliveries. Actively ensure the company’s quality standards are met. Communicate daily with the USS office and with all department heads on production, quality, and safety. Hold daily meetings with Bosun, Purser, Chief Engineer, Factory Manager/Foreman, Factory Technician, QC, and 1st Cook to ensure proper management of the vessel including production, quality, and safety. Communicate any relevant problems, situations, and solutions to appropriate stakeholders. Operate the vessel and equipment in a safe and productive manner in compliance with regulatory requirements under the Masters’ direction. Complete a daily safety walk, submit safety reports and complete VSIF. Run required safety drills and instruct crewmembers in safety procedures. Discuss safety by department during pre-trip meetings. Coordinate with AMP on Injury and Illnesses onboard. Hold post-injury/accident safety meetings with relevant department heads as soon as the situation is stabilized. Ensure the vessel operates in accordance with legal reporting and data entry requirements and that any prohibited species are not retained. Oversee wheelhouse and deck inventory and ordering; ensure maintenance is performed on fishing gear and equipment. Qualifications

USCG Licensed for 1600 tons or greater (Master or Mate). Minimum of three (3) years of bottom trawl fishing experience as a master or mate. Fishing Vessel Experience Required; Trawler experience preferred. Ability to adhere to a rotational schedule to ensure proper vessel coverage. Maintains a valid USCG License and required safety certifications (First Aid/CPR, Cold Water Survival). Compensation & Application
