CT Technologist – Mount Sinai Hospital (Monday–Friday 4 pm–12 am, Sign‑On Bonus) Join Mount Sinai Health System as a CT Technologist. You will perform CT scan studies of anatomical areas, ensuring diagnostic quality and patient safety while working a rotation shift schedule.

Responsibilities

Assist, prepare, and position patients for imaging procedures.

Perform CT scans and other diagnostic exams with technical judgment to meet written protocols.

Provide patient education about procedures.

Operate all CT imaging equipment, including injectors.

Prepare patients with sterile solutions, drapes, and instruments for CT bi‑opsy exams.

Assist physicians with room set‑up, procedure support, and guide‑wire/catheter handling.

Load and program contrast media power injectors per departmental procedures.

Set equipment controls and establish “programs” under radiologist direction.

Coordinate scan protocols with the radiologist.

Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure.

Perform all quality‑assurance procedures as required.

Label images per departmental SOPs.

Evaluate radiographs for technical acceptability and transmit images to PACS promptly.

Maintain radiology room and equipment cleanliness, removing soiled linen at start and end of shift.

Maintain imaging‑room supplies and accessories.

Record all patient tracking information in IDX (Radiology Information System).

Schedule exams in IDX as required.

Ensure studies are completed in IDX in a timely fashion.

Call for in‑patients as required.

Perform related clerical duties in the absence of support personnel.

Report needed repairs to equipment or unsafe conditions to supervisor.

Adhere to infection‑control policies to prevent spread of infection.

Attend in‑services and other professional development meetings as required.

Maintain licensure and licensing requirements, including Article 35 of the Public Health Code.

Qualifications

Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved Radiologic Technology program.

Minimum 2 years of progressive CT experience (new graduates considered).

Excellent technical skills and knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy, physiology, and positioning.

New York State license (L.R.T.).

ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) current CT certification.

Current CPR certification.

Compensation The role offers an hourly salary range of $55 517–$64 614, compliant with New York City salary‑transparency law. Actual salary depends on experience, education, and operational need. The range does not include bonuses or incentive pay.
